Well, I'm here in London finally and I can't sleep. F&*k jet lag. The trip over here wasn't too bad - long flight to Frankfurt, Germany then a short one to London, then a looong tube ride out to my friend Emily's place. She and I used to salsa dance together in Seattle so she's going to take me to all the best salsa clubs here in London - can't wait!
One funny thing I tried to take a picture of, but couldn't quite get, was the janitor at the Frankfurt airport. He was riding a small bicycle with a garbage, mop, broom etc hanging off the back and he was dressed in this funny green overall costume. It looked like he took a wrong turn at Burning Man and ended up in the airport. Funny.
Anyway, I am staying at a hostel tonight and meeting up with my friend Monika, who also happens to be in London at the moment. Then tomorrow the family gets here and we leave for Russia! Very exciting :-)

Leaving
I leave today at 2:00 PM on Lufthansa to go straight to Germany then backtrack to London. I'm exhausted. Looking forward to a 12-hour nap!
